The Database and Analytics group is delivers and evolves CERN’s data platforms and services, enabling CERN communities to collect, store, process, analyse and visualise data reliably and at scale. The group provides database, storage, analytics, streaming, monitoring and reporting solutions, and supports cross-service activities to ensure robust and accessible data capabilities across CERN. responsible for service delivery and evolution of databases, data stores, monitoring, messaging, streaming, analytics and data visualisation solutions for the different CERN communities.  

Analytics Streaming and Monitoring (IT-DA-ASM)

Delivers and operates analytics, reporting, messaging, data streaming and monitoring platforms and services for CERN communities, enabling reliable data collection, transport, processing and analysis.

Database Services (IT-DA-DB)

Section Leader: Miroslav Potocky

Provides, manages and operates relational database instances for CERN communities. Services range from fully administered, enterprise-supported databases to on-demand instances that empower users to handle administration and troubleshooting, while deployment, backup & recovery, and upgrades are handled automatically.

Data Stores (IT-DA-DS)

Section Leader: Pedro Andrade

Provides scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platforms supporting CERN’s scientific, operational, and analytical workloads. The section delivers and operates shared data and storage services, including large-scale platforms for distributed data analytics, discovery, and processing, as well as enterprise-grade storage for databases.
